Summary:
FRx is an advanced, graphical reporting tool that
works with leading client/server accounting systems. It consolidates
financial information from multiple databases, platforms, and servers.
Additionally, FRx imports key information such as budgets or statistical
data from spreadsheets.
With FRx, you design report "templates"
that can be used at any time. First you define how you want the rows and
columns of your reports to look. Next, you combine these "building
blocks" with a custom reporting tree. A reporting tree establishes
the relationship between the various responsibility units in your
company and sets your reporting structure apart from your chart of
accounts.
You create a reporting tree by defining an account
template for each reporting unit (i.e. division or department code) and
then you arrange those account templates into the reporting hierarchy of
your choice. You can even tailor your reports for different users by
creating multiple reporting trees that are independent of the others.
Additionally, each unit in your reporting tree can draw data from
different databases, even those residing on different networks or file
servers. Simply specify the unique company code in the reporting tree
and FRx locates and accesses the appropriate data, subject to predefined
security controls.
With FRx, you can create virtual roll-up reporting
units that do not exist within your chart of accounts. These roll-up
units provide amazing flexibility for companies with changing reporting
structures, without impacting data entry procedures.
After customizing reports that meet your users needs,
you can view, print, e-mail to remote users, or export them to many
commercially available spreadsheets.
