Troubleshooting when you have Printing Problems in Platinum for Windows 4.5a

The first thing to check with a network printer is the time-outs, which all too often are too low. Bump them up to 300.

If a job is sent to a printer it does not use Windows print drivers; if sent to Inbox and then printed, the Windows print drivers are used.

Make sure the PAS is set up as a user and captured to a network printer.

Check to see if the printer is connected locally to a PAS, If so, treat this as if it were just a local printer.

Make sure the PAS is not on a Windows 95 workstation.

Make sure there is no printers set up on the PAS.

Copy Ascii codes to all users directories including Admin and the PAS.

In printer setup make sure that there is nothing filled in network computer name and network printer name.
