Error 75’s and other errors Error 75’s and other errors Error 75 in line 59070 This error occurs when the Printer File used in the System Manager Printer File Maintenance is damaged. The program is trying to close the file without success. The printer file is user specific if on a network. To work around: Log in as the user experiencing the problem. Do a print screen of each of the existing record in Printer Maintenance. Copy UTPRNTR from \platinum\data to \platinum\user sub directory. Manually re-enter the records in Printer Maintenance for the user getting the error. Error 75 or error 76 in line 20255 Path/file access or path not found, this error occurs on network installations when attempting to create a \platinum\user sub directory. Things to check are: Check user's rights, must be read/write/create. The user name must be a valid directory name. Platinum makes a NET BIOS calls to retrieve the machine name which is used to create the \platinum\user sub directory. Mapping: platinum delivers the full directory path name when creating the directory. Thus, the mapping of the drives is crucial. The drive letter used in Multi Company Maintenance must be mapped to the directory above \platinum in the tree structure. Single user installations: This error may occur when the user has executed the Start.Bat command from the root directory. This is possible if the user has a path command directed to the \platinum directory where the programs are located when performing the Start.Bat command. This will occur with new users: either they don't have the correct rights to the \platinum directory or there is a file in the \platinum directory named the user's name. Error 64 in line 401 Bad file name, this error occurs when the 'Device name' in Printer File Maintenance is invalid, usually because it is not followed by a colon (:). The correct syntax is LPT1:. |
