How to Start a Macro in DOS that Exits Out to DOS when Done

The procedures below will exit out to DOS, but the following steps must be taken:

· Create a file called UTQUICK in the Platinum directory (contents do not matter)

· Copy UTVER to UTQUICK

· Create a file called UT.CFG (file must contain a /NG to disable to graphics logo)

Create a macro in Platinum to run a GL report in company "dedham" that is located on your N:\Platinum drive, then exit back to the batch file in DOS. Name the macro "report". The macro was stopped by escaping all the way out of Platinum.

Now create a batch file called "TEST.BAT" in your Platinum directory which contains the following line:

netstart c:dedham/m:report (other parameters are located in the SM manual)

When you type "TEST", (the name of the batch file), it will go into Platinum on N:, load your company (c) dedham on n:, and start the macro (m) report, and after exiting Platinum, it will log you out of the network.

You can put anything before or after the call line depending on what you needed done by the batch file. A clear screen (CLS) and logout been successful.
